Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Field Service Technician to join our team at Mettler Toledo. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing our laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair Mettler Toledo products to meet customer uptime requirements.
  • Perform system and equipment installations, calibrations, and preventative maintenance duties as required.
  • Review and sign off on all completed assignments and applicable documentation.
  • Assist and cooperate with Service Support Representatives whenever necessary.
  • Lead the efforts in promoting and selling service products.
  • Submit Leads and assist in efforts to modernize, upgrade, and convert customer existing equipment.
  • Ensure vehicle service and maintenance requirements are met.
  • Submit all paperwork in a timely and professional manner, maintaining a close professional relationship with external/internal customers, sales, technicians, and other leaders.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-year college diploma or degree in Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation, Technology, or Computer Science, or equivalent education and experience in a technical support role, technical troubleshooting, or technical installation in industrial electronics or electromechanical technology industry.
  • Must be willing to work overtime.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and may require a DZ class license.
  • Must be available to work flexible hours.
  • Ability to travel within Canada and the U.S.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
