Job Title: Audiologist

Job Summary:

The Audiologist is a key member of the Prairie Mountain Health team, responsible for providing expert care and services to clients with hearing and balance disorders. This role requires a strong understanding of audiology principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and diagnose hearing and balance disorders in clients of all ages.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address client needs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Provide education and counseling to clients and their families on hearing health and audiological care.
  • Supervise and guide Audiology Assistants and Newborn Hearing Screeners in their roles.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in audiology.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
  • Document client information and treatment plans accurately and efficiently.
  • Participate in performance reviews and goal setting to enhance work performance.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Audiology or related field.
  • Registration with the College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists of Manitoba.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
