We are currently seeking a qualified Principal Consultant, EHS Regulatory Compliance and Management Systems to join our team at Environmental Resources Management (ERM). This is a unique opportunity for a motivated and results-driven professional to take on a key role in supporting our clients' Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) management practices.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for conducting audits of regulatory and sustainable frameworks, developing strategies, programs, procedures, and tools to support and improve our Clients' EHS programs. They will also provide technical support to ERM's Sustainable Operations Team to grow capability and capacity to meet international mining standards.
- Lead EHS compliance, management system and sustainability framework audits as a single auditor, or as part of an audit team.
- Develop and implement EHS strategies, processes, plans, and reports to support client management systems and programs.
- Conduct training, in-field coaching, and lead meetings/presentations to ensure effective communication and knowledge transfer.
Candidates should possess a strong educational background in environmental, health and safety science, engineering, or business education. A minimum of 6-8 years of relevant work experience, either consulting or industry in an EHS role, with work experience preferable both in Canada and internationally is required. French first/English bilingualism is mandatory, with proficiency to communicate in both languages effectively.
