About the Role:

Farm Credit Canada is seeking a skilled Agricultural Finance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing relationships with local producers and developing a loan portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with customers to create customized financing solutions that meet their business needs
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with FCC customers and internal partners
  • Identify opportunities to grow your loan portfolio and contribute to the organization's growth
  • Travel to visit customers on their farms or in their offices to provide exceptional customer service
  • Analyze customer financial information to inform lending decisions
  • Develop, process, and approve new credit facilities to support customer growth

Requirements:

  • Degree in agriculture, business, or commerce, and at least one year of related ag finance or sales experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience); a professional agrologist designation is an asset
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to connect with customers and build business relationships
  • Sales and negotiation skills, combined with sound judgment and a self-starting attitude
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing circumstances
