Horizon Psychiatrist General Position

Horizon Health Network is seeking a dedicated and passionate Psychiatrist to join our team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide safe and quality patient care, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide outpatient services for assessment and management of new and follow-up patients.
- Assess and treat veterans, RCMP members, and other patients at the VAC-funded OSI clinic.
- Provide inpatient care on call and admit patients under your care when necessary.
- Consult with inpatients and emergency room patients as requested by attending staff.
- Offer telephone psychiatric consultations to physicians on request.
- Participate in medical practice that aligns with Horizon's mission, values, and strategic directions.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Psychiatrist, with experience working in a similar role.
- A Medical Degree from a recognized medical school and postgraduate studies in Psychiatric Medicine.
- A valid license to practice medicine in New Brunswick through the College of Physicians and Surgeons of New Brunswick (CPSNB), and Certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
- Written and spoken competence in English at an advanced level, with bilingual skills considered an asset.
