Job Summary
Saskatchewan Polytechnic is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Medical Laboratory Technology Instructor to join our team. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality educational programs in Medical Laboratory Science.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver educational courses and lab materials that meet the needs of our students and industry partners.
- Supervise students in classroom, clinical, and lab settings, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
- Evaluate student progress through exams, assignments, and observations, using this information to inform instruction and improve student outcomes.
- Counsel students and prospective students on program and career opportunities, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their goals.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Master's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field, or a diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology with advanced certification and degree equivalency.
- Current registration with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) and completion of the General Laboratory Technology certification exam.
- Licensed to practice as a Medical Laboratory Technologist - General in Saskatchewan.
- Two years of recent and relevant experience as a Medical Laboratory Technologist.
- Current clinical experience and good interpersonal, communication, and instructional skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing technology and industry needs.
