We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at PHSA. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our comprehensive cancer control services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to oncology patients, including assessment, intervention, symptom management, treatment coordination, and education.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications, injections, and other treatments as required, and monitor patient reactions and responses.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including health history, nursing assessments, and care evaluations.
- Admit, transfer, or discharge patients according to PHSA policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as an RN with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM).
- One (1) year of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Demonstrated clinical knowledge and ability to apply it in practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations.
- Awareness of and commitment to Indigenous cultural safety and anti-racism principles.
