Newtech Renovation Inc - Drywall Installer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installer to join our team at Newtech Renovation Inc. As a Drywall Installer, you will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall sheets to create smooth surfaces for painting and finishing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Measure, cut, and install drywall sheets to fit around corners and edges.
  • Apply successive coats of compound to fill joints and seams, and sand to a smooth finish.
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound.
  • Fill holes and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in drywall installation.
  • Permanent employment.
  • 35 hours per week.
  • English language proficiency.
