About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Light Duty Cleaner to join our team at Choice Janitorial Service Ltd. As a Light Duty Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture, make beds and change sheets, clean and disinfect kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances, and pick up debris and empty trash containers.
  • Support for Persons with Disabilities: Provide physical accessibility accommodations, such as ramps and elevators, visual accessibility accommodations, such as braille and screen readers, and auditory accessibility accommodations, such as transcription software and teletypewriters.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Participate in government or community programs that support newcomers and refugees, assist with immediate settlement needs, such as housing and transportation, and support social and labor market integration.
  • Support for Youth: Participate in government or community programs that support youth employment, offer on-the-job training, and provide mentorship and coaching opportunities.
  • Support for Veterans: Participate in government or community programs that support veterans, offer mentorship and coaching opportunities, and provide awareness training to create a welcoming work environment.
