Victoria General Hospital, Royal Jubilee Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Medical Neurologist to join their dynamic team. As a key member of the Island Health's Division of Neurology, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the growth and development of the department.

About the Role

This permanent position offers a unique opportunity for a Medical Neurologist to work in a hospital-based inpatient general neurology practice, with full participation in the on-call schedule. You will have the chance to establish an independent office practice, collaborating with a talented team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care to patients.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing expert medical care to patients with neurological conditions;
  • Participating in the on-call schedule and responding to emergencies;
  • Establishing and maintaining an independent office practice;
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care;
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest medical research and advancements in the field of neurology.

Requirements

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must possess:

  • A valid College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) License;
  • Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) coverage;
  • Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) or eligibility for licensure.

Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is $325,000, based on industry standards and location. Compensation Type: Fee-for-Service.
