About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Tailor to join our team at Sixteen Nine Enterprises Inc. as a Men's Garment Alterations Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for creating high-quality, custom-made garments for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Garment Alterations and Repair: Make made-to-measure garments according to customer and manufacturing specifications, fit, alter, and repair garments as required.
  • Pattern Making and Design: Select and modify commercial patterns to customers' and clothing manufacturers' specifications and fit, design patterns to fit measurements, mark, cut, and sew fabric.
  • Material Selection and Handling: Select and work with various materials, including cotton, synthetic, furs, skins, nylon, polyester, satin, silk, textiles, and leather.
  • Work Environment and Physical Demands: Work in a fast-paced environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling. Physically demanding, with a focus on attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the field, or equivalent experience.
  • Language and Communication: Excellent oral communication skills, with the ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling. Physically demanding, with a focus on attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
