Software Development Engineer, Amazon

The Shopping Core Foundations team at Amazon is responsible for delivering core capabilities of a new shopping experience. We are seeking a seasoned software engineer to participate in all parts of the software development process, from collaborating with stakeholders and product teams on design, to implementing that design in a scalable and extensible way.
About the Role
As a software engineer on our team, you will work closely with a talented team of engineers, product managers, and science teams to design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge products. You will have the opportunity to make a large impact on the design, architecture, and implementation of these products.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with stakeholders and product teams on design and implementation of software solutions
Participate in all parts of the software development process, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
Work closely with a talented team of engineers, product managers, and science teams to design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge products
Have the freedom to experiment, improve, invent, and innovate on behalf of our customers
Requirements
3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
