Job Title: Agile Developer DEVOPS

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Agile Developer to join our team at Nexus Systems Group Inc. as a DevOps Engineer. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Mainframe development and a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain distributed data pipelines using legacy platforms, including SAS and Mainframe.
  • Support and enhance MIS Reporting solutions to meet business needs.
  • Implement SDLC across the specification, design, build, test, and deployment phases of development.
  • Facilitate Agile culture and Scrum/Kanban methodologies.
  • Collaborate with peers and stakeholders to deliver business solutions.

Requirements:

  • 8-10+ years of development experience.
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in building data pipelines using Mainframe/TSO and Mainframe SAS.
  • Expert knowledge of Mainframe (JCL/PROC) and SAS.
  • Previous exposure to Mainframe and SAS upgrades.
  • Previous exposure to Data Migration from Mainframe to other platforms (RDBMS).

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with MIS platforms, SQL-based analysis on RDBMS like SQL Server/Sybase/DB2/Oracle.
  • Knowledge of Canadian Banking source systems, including Commercial Banking, Retail Lending, Day-To-Day banking, and Small Business banking.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication skills to facilitate meetings with stakeholders.
  • Strong decision-making, forward thinking, and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.

Education:

Post-secondary degree in IT/Computer Science/Business Administration and relevant experience.
