About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at Florenceville Amsterdam Inn & Suites LTD. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods for our guests.
  • Food Safety and Handling: Ensure that all food is handled and prepared in a safe and sanitary manner.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure that all orders are fulfilled in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Cleaning and Organization: Clean and maintain the kitchen and work areas, and organize buffets and banquets as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Work Setting: This role is based in a restaurant setting, with the possibility of working in a rural area or hotel/motel/resort environment.
  • Supervision: You will be working under the supervision of a Cook (general).
  • Cuisine Specialties: We are looking for someone with experience in Canadian cuisine.
  • Security and Safety: A criminal record check may be required for this role.
  • Transportation/Travel Information: You will need to have your own transportation to and from work.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and the physical ability to handle heavy loads and stand for extended periods.
  • Personal Suitability: We are looking for someone with excellent oral communication skills, flexibility, initiative, and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience is preferred.
