Farm Labourer Job Description

Dunphy's Poultry Farm Ltd. is seeking a skilled Farm Labourer to join our team. As a Farm Labourer, you will be responsible for handling animals, monitoring animal health, and performing livestock feeding tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handling animals with care and attention to detail
• Monitoring animal health and reporting any issues to the farm manager
• Performing livestock feeding tasks, including feeding and tending to animals
• Assisting in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures
• Operating and maintaining farm machinery and equipment
• Maintaining livestock performance records and quality control and production records
• Maintaining work records and logs
• Detecting disease and health problems in crops, livestock, and poultry
• Performing general farm duties, including setting and monitoring water lines, air flow, and temperature in barns, pens, and chicken coops

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Physically demanding work, including standing for extended periods and walking
• Combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling

Personal Suitability:

• Team player with excellent communication skills
• Quick learner with a willingness to adapt to new situations

Experience:

• 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field
