Your Opportunity:
As a Registered Nurse in the Acute Care and Emergency/Outpatients department at Alberta Health Services, you'll have the chance to provide comprehensive nursing care to patients. With a focus on assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of direct patient-and family-centered care, you'll utilize your critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address complex health issues.
Description:
In this role, you will be responsible for providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS. You will work closely with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Acute Care and Emergency/Outpatients department
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care
Required Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited nursing education program
- Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification
- If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five years, completion of the following free courses is required: CRNA Medication Management - Chapters 1 - 4 and NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification

Please note that Provisional Permit Holders shall be paid $ between $ when being entered into the register of Registered Nurses. Upon being entered into the register of Registered Nurses, the rate of pay shall be adjusted to the rate of pay applicable to a Registered Nurse in accordance with AHS/UNA Article or (ii) as applicable.
