About the Role

Aiolos Engineering Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Process Piping Engineer to join our multidisciplinary engineering teams. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering piping engineering services that meet our, our customers', and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Piping design and analysis using ASME code
  • Performing piping stress analysis and pipe support definitions
  • Selecting, locating, and designing process instrumentation within the piping system
  • Coordinating piping designs between teams and ensuring adherence to local codes and standards
  • Checking and stamping piping drawings and isometrics
  • Mentoring junior team members and providing input to project man-hour estimates and schedules
  • Authoring technical drawings and specifications, including piping isometrics, support details, and spool drawings
  • Installation and on-site start-up support, including overseeing installations and working with subcontractors
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Process Engineering
  • Eligible candidate for license as a Professional Engineer
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in piping and pipe support design and analysis using ASME code
  • Familiarity with various process piping standards, including ASME, ASHRAE, ASTM, and API
  • Familiarity with the design of hydronic systems, including chilled water, hot water, steam, steam condensate, and drain systems
  • Experience with contractors, system installation, and start-up
  • Experience working with multi-discipline project teams, other engineers, and designers
  • Good English writing skills
  • Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proven on-site installation and start-up supervision experience
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Autodesk Plant, CAESAR II, Creo Parametric

Salary range: $80-$105k (based on experience)
