Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $83,400 - $107,700 per year, based on the Canadian average registered nurse salary range.

Job Description

As a Medical Care Specialist, you will provide high-quality patient care under the direction of the Nursing Unit Coordinator. You will be responsible for assessing patients' needs, developing individualized care plans, and implementing interventions to promote optimal patient outcomes.

You will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care, provide education to patients and families, and advocate for patients' rights and interests.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A degree in nursing from an accredited program;
  • A valid registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills;
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment;
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly;
