Associate Physician in Hepatopancreatobiliary and Liver Transplant Surgery
Job Summary:Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a highly skilled Associate Physician to join our Hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) and Liver Transplant Surgery team at Vancouver General Hospital. As an Associate Physician, you will work closely with our experienced surgeons to provide exceptional care to patients undergoing HPB and liver transplant surgeries.
Responsibilities:- Assess and manage preoperative and post-operative HPB surgical patients
- Provide surgical assistance in HPB and other liver and pancreas-related operations
- Participate in discharge planning and other activities to increase capacity and service delivery
- Minimum of two years of accredited postgraduate training as a medical or surgical specialist
- Successful completion of Part 1 of the Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination (MCCQE) or Steps 1 through 3 of the United States Medical Licensing Examinations (USMLEs)
- Proficiency in the English language and eligibility for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC
- Valid Canadian Citizenship or permanent resident status
