Project Development and Implementation Role

We are seeking a skilled Project Development and Implementation Coordinator to join our team at the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs. This is an exciting opportunity to work on housing and infrastructure initiatives for First Nations in Manitoba.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely execution of goals, objectives, and tasks related to housing and infrastructure projects. This includes strategic planning, work plan management, and project monitoring to achieve positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and structure planning and scheduling of various projects, initiatives, and tasks within the housing and infrastructure sectors.
  • Monitor project processes and benchmarks, providing regular updates to the Manager and project staff to ensure timely progress.
  • Maintain and update work plans, task lists, and benchmarks as directed by management.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and offer support to meet time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Assist in developing high-level documentation, including strategies, discussion, and position papers.
  • Apply knowledge of project management principles to ensure effective coordination and execution of tasks.
  • Maintain an understanding of housing and infrastructure issues specific to First Nations.
  • Adhere to office policies and procedures and confidentiality agreements.
Qualifications, Education & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certificate or Bachelor's/Graduate degree in Social Science, Education, Communications, or related fields.
  • 3-5 years of proven experience in managing various projects with a demonstrated ability to apply best practices.
  • Strong time management and resource management skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of First Nation's policies and political issues in Housing and Infrastructure would be an asset.
  • Reliable, trustworthy, and dependable.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Ability to follow office procedures, practices, and confidentiality.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office software, including Word and Excel.
Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this role is $65,000 - $80,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
