About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at IWK Health. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality mental health services to children, youth, and families. You will be responsible for conducting psychological assessments, developing and implementing evidence-based treatment plans, and providing individual and group therapy sessions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify mental health needs and develop treatment plans
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to children, youth, and families
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans to address mental health needs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive care
  • Participate in program development, evaluation, and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
  • Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from an accredited university program
  • Completion of an APA or CPA accredited Predoctoral Internship in Psychology
  • Current registration or eligibility to register with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology
  • Minimum 5 years of formal training and clinical experience in child and adolescent mental health
  • Demonstrated experience and skills in assessment and treatment of youth and families with mental health and addiction issues
