Job SummaryThe Water Treatment Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe operation of water treatment systems and equipment. This includes conducting inspections, testing, repairs, and maintenance for all facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Perform daily system checks and log results.
- Identify and report abnormal conditions to the Building Services Manager.
- Troubleshoot and maintain water treatment system equipment.
- Inspect systems for leaks and verify system temperatures, pressures, levels, flows, and voltages.
- Complete assigned water tests and make adjustments as needed.
- Prepare and replace analyser solutions.
- Compile and maintain documentation relevant to water treatment systems.
- Work with the team to evaluate system effectiveness and make continuous improvements.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, and established safety standards.
- Grade 12 combined with a community college diploma in Chemical Engineering Technology or equivalent.
- Two years of experience in operations/maintenance of complex purified water treatment systems.
- Good interpersonal skills, initiative, self-motivation, and planning/organizational skills.
