We are seeking a skilled Counsellor to join our team at The Salvation Army. As a Counsellor - Community Residential Facility, you will play a vital role in supporting offenders in their rehabilitation journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a caseload of 10+ clients and provide individualized support, counselling, and liaison services between clients and their Parole Officers.
  • Conduct weekly meetings with caseload clients and maintain accurate records.
  • Develop and implement Resident Action Plans (RAPs) in collaboration with offenders and Parole Officers.
  • Provide regular progress reviews and updates to Offender Management System (OMS) and Parole Office.
  • Liaise with community parole and case management teams.
  • Perform Intake Counsellor role and facilitate CRF programs as directed by management.
  • Ensure confidentiality and adhere to The Salvation Army's policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in criminology, psychology, or social work.
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain confidentiality.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License and First Aid/CPR certification.
