About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Equipment Operator to join our team at Next Power Inc. as a Site Operations Technician. This is a permanent position that requires a high level of accuracy, flexibility, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Maintain Equipment: Load, unload, and transport construction materials using various types of heavy machinery, including cranes, excavators, and bulldozers.
  • Ensure Safety: Clean and lubricate equipment, erect and dismantle scaffolding, and remove rubble and debris to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Assist in Construction: Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs, as well as operating dragline cranes to expose coal seams and ore deposits.
  • Support Operations: Direct traffic at or near construction sites, assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction, and operate locomotive cranes to move objects and materials at railway yards.
Work Environment

This role requires working in a fast-paced construction environment, handling heavy loads, and working at heights. The ideal candidate will have excellent hand-eye coordination and be able to work in a team environment.

Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field is preferred.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication in this role.
  • Work Hours: 40 to 44 hours per week.
