Junior Environmental Specialist

Environmental Stewardship and Sustainability

GHD is committed to protecting the environment and promoting sustainable development. As a junior environmental specialist, you will play a key role in our emergency response team, working on projects that involve environmental investigation, remediation, and spill response.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing emergency response plans and participating in exercises
  • Conduct field work, including spill response, contractor oversight, and data collection
  • Assist in report writing, data analysis, and presentation
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Environmental, Civil, Geological), Bachelor of Science, or alternate relevant qualifications
  • 0-2 years of experience, with co-op experience considered a benefit
  • Flexible work schedule, with ability to work weekends, holidays, and nights as required
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
  • High level of attention to detail, analytical skills, and time management skills
