About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team at Trican. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that Trican's core value, "Safe equipment and operations," is the top priority in all activities.
  • Read diagrams and schematics to plan work procedures.
  • Operate a hoist and lift device to position machinery safely.
  • Inspect and examine vehicles and equipment to identify potential issues.
  • Service, diagnose, repair, assemble, and maintain vehicles and equipment.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry standards and regulations.
  • Provide guidance and instruction to less experienced operators or apprentice maintenance personnel.

Requirements:

  • 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice or Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic certification is required.
  • CVIP is considered an asset.
  • Field mechanic experience will also be considered.
  • Valid Class 1 license is preferred; will consider Class 3 or 5.
  • Heavy Equipment Technician experience is an asset.
  • Safe driving skills and a clean driver's abstract are required.
  • Physically fit, with the ability to lift heavy objects.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
