Job Title: Warehouse Associate

Inovata Foods is a leading food manufacturing company that offers a unique blend of stability and a small business feel. We partner with major retailers across North America and are seeking a part-time Warehouse Associate to join our team in Tillsonburg, Ontario.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the proper handling, storage, and transfer of goods within the warehouse, adhering to GMP guidelines and best practices.
  • Stage and issue ingredients, raw materials, and packaging to production, respecting FIFO and FEFO principles.
  • Conduct accurate and timely inventory counting, cycle counting, and reporting on shortages and damages.
  • Deliver raw materials requiring tempering to designated rooms in advance.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment within the warehouse.
  • Operate MHE equipment, warehouse docks, doors, and racks, and report any incidents or issues.
  • Participate in receiving proper training for their role, cross-training, and responsibilities.
  • Support the Warehouse Lead Hand and/or Supervisor with schedule flexibility, including occasional overtime, weekends, and shift coverage.
  • Collaborate with the Warehouse Management Team to maintain, update, and improve existing warehouse processes and procedures.
  • Work with Purchasing and Production for cycle counting, material deliveries, verifications, lot changes, returns, and pick-ups.
  • Participate in plant or warehouse meetings as required.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the overall warehouse.
  • Report damaged products, evaluate the circumstances, and aid in implementing preventive/corrective actions.
  • Follow company food safety programs, including GMPs, to produce high-quality products for customers.
  • Verify the accuracy of all warehouse material handled and paperwork generated.
  • Ensure timely movement and delivery of quality food products for customers.
  • Maintain good employee relations and provide feedback on responsibilities, tasks, and expectations.
  • Maintain work areas in accordance with departmental requirements, company safety policies, and applicable health and safety legislation.
  • Assist in training and orienting new employees to ensure full understanding of departmental, functional, and company expectations and policies.
Requirements:
  • General knowledge of health and safety guidelines.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Previous warehouse and distribution experience.
  • Forklift operations license.
Working Conditions:

This position involves daily exposure to a food processing environment, including dampness and cold. Some occasional desk work, cooler, freezer, and external area work may be required. Overtime, including weekend work, may be necessary.
