We are seeking a skilled Plumbing Specialist to join our team at Regina Exhibition Association Limited. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our plumbing systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing fixtures and associated piping.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular inspections of plumbing fixtures and associated piping to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Set up and operate portable or temporary plumbing systems for special events and tradeshows.
  • Install, service, repair, and maintain a variety of temporary and permanent plumbing systems, including mobile/portable wash stations.
  • Unplug and clear clogs in floor drains, sink drains, grease traps, toilets, urinals, and downstream piping.
  • Replace plumbing fixtures and associated items, and service and repair automated valves in potable water, RO, and heating systems.
  • Perform or assist with HVAC repairs and cleaning in-line filter screens in heating systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including assisting facility engineers, mechanics, and carpenters as needed.

Requirements:

  • Must have a Journeypersons Plumber License.
  • Refrigeration Engineer certificate is an asset.
  • Fireman's or 5th Class Power Engineering certificate is an asset.
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Fall Protection Certificate
  • Mobile Elevated Platform Certificate

Must be able to perform the following:

  • Frequently required to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and occasionally crawl.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment is an asset.
