Job Title: Pulmonary Technologist

At Health Sciences Centre, we are seeking a skilled Pulmonary Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will play a vital role in assessing how disease affects the Cardio-Pulmonary System by conducting various Cardio-Pulmonary testing.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct Cardio-Pulmonary testing to assess the impact of disease on the Cardio-Pulmonary System.
  • Work under the general direction of the Lab Coordinator to ensure accurate and efficient testing.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of Cardio-Pulmonary testing procedures and protocols.
Requirements:
  • 2 years' experience as a Pulmonary Technician or Registered Respiratory Therapist required.
  • Successful completion of a recognized Pulmonary Technologist training program, including academic credentials in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited Canadian program or a MARRT-approved equivalent.
  • Registered and in good standing with the Canadian Association of Cardio-Pulmonary Technologists (CACPT) or willing to challenge and pass the CACPT examination within 2 years of hiring.
  • Preference given to those applicants competent in an Indigenous language and/or knowledge in Indigenous customs, traditions, and values.
  • Good physical and mental health, as well as manual dexterity.
