Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and friendly Host/Hostess to join our team at Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited. As a Host/Hostess, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing the flow of the restaurant, and generating customer loyalty.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with guests and provide a premium experience.
• Initiate conversations with guests and create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Manage reservations, seating arrangements, and food and beverage expediting.
• Work well under pressure and juggle multiple tasks.
• Benefit from flexible hours, evenings, and weekends.

Requirements

• Host/hostess experience in the hospitality/food service industry preferred.
• Cash handling experience using a POS system or cashier register.
• Tourism, promotion, marketing, entertainment, or event training experience preferred.
• Serving It Right (BC)/Proserve (Alberta) certificate/Smart Serve (Ontario).
• World Host/Super Host certificate or other similar customer service programs preferred.
• Proven selling, marketing, and service skills in a dining, retail, or promotions environment.
• Effective public speaking skills and presence.
• Ability to pull, lift, and carry objects up to 30 pounds, specifically a fully loaded serving tray.
• Knowledge of specialty food and beverage items.
