We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team at Emcon Services Inc. As an essential member of our operations, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy equipment, specifically commercial transport trucks.

About the Role

This is a permanent, full-time position with 40 hours per week. The work term is as per collective agreement.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with engines, electrical systems, and other mechanical components. You will be required to perform routine maintenance tasks, diagnose and repair complex issues, and ensure that all equipment is in good working condition.

Your attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently will make you a valuable asset to our team.

Responsibilities
  • Engine Repair: Diagnose and repair diesel engines, including replacement of faulty parts and components.
  • Electrical and Electronic System: Inspect, test, and repair electrical and electronic systems, including wiring and circuit boards.
  • Diagnostics: Use specialized tools and software to diagnose complex issues with heavy equipment.
  • Scheduled Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and tire rotations.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: At least 1 month of experience working with heavy equipment or engines.
  • Languages: Fluent in English.
