Job Title: Lead Custodian

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Custodian to join our team at the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board.

Job Summary:

The Lead Custodian will be responsible for overseeing the general cleanliness, safety, and security of a school, office, or building facility. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a demonstrated ability to follow oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the general cleanliness, safety, and security of a school, office, or building facility
  • Provide direction to other custodial staff when required
  • Work with limited supervision
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Perform other related duties as required
Qualifications:
  • Grade 12 education or equivalent required
  • Experience in a similar role preferred
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to perform the duties of the position
  • Demonstrated ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Knowledge of commercial cleaning products, materials, and applications
  • Knowledge of cleaning procedures related to public buildings
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, and Email)
  • First Aid certification an asset
