About the Job

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Electrical Designer-Drafter. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on challenging projects, collaborate with a talented team, and contribute to the growth and success of our company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical control panels, systems, and integration packaging under the supervision of our Production Design Supervisor.
  • Work closely with our R&D design team to create new product designs, improve existing products, and standardize our product offerings.
  • Create detailed electrical schematics, interconnection diagrams, and layout drawings using AutoCAD software.
  • Analyze and interpret electrical safety codes, including CSA, UL, and CEC, to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with contractors, trades, and sub-vendors to integrate our products into all-in-one solutions.
  • Develop and maintain drawing standards and templates for product standardization.
  • Prepare and issue drawings for approval, construction, fabrication, and as-built records.
Requirements
  • Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma or equivalent education (Power and Distribution Systems incl/ Renewable Energy Sources).
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience with AutoCAD software related to layout and electrical integration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with shop personnel, drafting peers, product experts, and vendors/contractors.
  • Ability to multitask, manage multiple live tasks, and meet timeline requirements for deliverables.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint).
