Strategic Finance Director for Complex Construction Projects

As a seasoned finance professional, you will have the opportunity to lead a high-performing team as the Strategic Finance Director for Complex Construction Projects at TalentSphere Staffing Solutions.

About the Role:

  • Provide strategic leadership and planning with the Senior Management Team, driving business growth and success in the complex construction industry.
  • Oversee IT infrastructure, external financial reporting, and technical accounting under ASPE, ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial transactions.
  • Ensure effective control, governance, and risk management practices are in place, mitigating potential risks and protecting the organization's interests.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial leadership and coaching, promoting a culture of excellence and innovation.
  • Manage change and innovation initiatives, developing and implementing strategies to drive business growth and improvement.
  • Establish and operate the Internal Audit function, ensuring that internal controls are robust and effective.
  • Review proposals/contracts to maintain organizational interests, identifying opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth.
  • Act as Compliance Officer for Anti-Bribery, Anti-Corruption, and Modern Slavery Standards, upholding the organization's commitment to ethical business practices.
  • Perform special projects as requested by the President or Board of Directors, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to take on new challenges.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 15 years' progressive experience in Finance, IT, and support teams, with a proven track record of success in complex construction projects.
  • CPA (Ontario) designation, with expert knowledge of ASPE and a strong understanding of financial regulations.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with Trimble Vista finance software, with a strong understanding of the construction industry and its unique challenges.

Compensation Package:

The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, you can expect a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
