Your Impact
The Senior Credit Risk Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the effective delivery of credit risk performance to optimize cash collection and minimize bad debt. This position requires a strong passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences, change management, and partnership skills to ensure key stakeholders understand and support our policies, processes, and decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute credit risk strategy and solutions, including researching best-in-class automation for credit approval processes;
- Maintain and improve credit granting and collections processes and practices to optimize cash collection and minimize bad debt expense;
- Partner with Sales and other stakeholders to deliver on credit approval cycle time/SLA;
- Approve payment term requests as required;
- Assist Sales, stakeholders, and external customers in discussing credit requests not approved, providing alternative credit limit recommendations that support revenue while protecting AR assets;
- Evaluate customer financial positions using established account monitoring systems and tools, analyzing financial statements, and identifying material changes to minimize bad debt risk;
- Assist in Acquisition Integration activities;
- Contribute to improving credit risk and approval strategies to support revenue growth;
- Support other projects/initiatives as assigned to deliver best-in-class processes and practices for the Credit Risk function.
Requirements
Education:
- College/University BA, Business or Finance;
- CPP Designation;
- Completion or enrollment in CCP or Accounting Designation program an asset.
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years' commercial credit experience, preferably in a global software services/high tech environment;
- Demonstrated success influencing change on Credit Risk understanding;
- Excellent written and verbal communication and change management skills, specifically with Sales and external Customers;
- Strong working knowledge of accounting principles, with demonstrated success evaluating company financial statements to establish Credit Risk parameters;
- Strong organization and time management skills, with demonstrated success managing multiple priorities;
- Strong working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office products and Salesforce;
- Self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset;
- Strong team player, understanding that you deliver as a team and it is always best when you collaborate to find solutions to problems;
- Demonstrated ability to drive a culture of learning with your peers and help them to be resilient in a continuously changing environment;
- Bilingual an asset.
