Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and caring ECE Assistant to join our team at Elderberries Child Care Centre Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to infants and toddlers in a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers with care and attention to their individual needs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized daycare environment, including equipment and supplies.
  • Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Support early childhood educators in keeping accurate records of children's progress and development.
  • Encourage children to express their creativity through various activities, such as art, music, and physical play.
  • Prepare healthy snacks and arrange the play area for lunch and rest periods.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral issues and report to parents, guardians, or supervisors.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience in childcare or a related field is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, reliability, and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a team of dedicated early childhood educators and support staff. The work environment is physically demanding, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
