Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join our dynamic team in Alberta and BC, Canada. The ideal candidate will be passionate about bringing life-changing therapies to Canadians living with rare diseases.

The Regional MSL is a key conduit of information between internal and external stakeholders, adhering to the highest standards of integrity. This role requires strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, business acumen, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Rare Disease Expertise: Demonstrate a deep passion for improving the lives of Canadians living with rare diseases and maintain a high level of expertise in Sobi's therapeutic portfolio, including hematology, inflammation, rheumatology, immunology, and oncology.
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: Identify opportunities, take initiative, and drive projects to completion. Plan, support, and execute regional roundtables, advisory boards, and related activities.
  • Scientific Information Interpretation: Understand complex scientific concepts and translate them into clear, understandable language for diverse audiences. Engage in scientific discussions with medical professionals.
  • Patient Advocacy: Identify and establish meaningful peer-to-peer relationships with physicians and collect insights from these interactions to inform the Canadian Medical Affairs team.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional colleagues, including Sales, Market Access, Marketing, Regulatory Affairs, and R&D.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years of pharma/biotech experience and 2+ years of MSL experience.
  • Experience in rare diseases, particularly hematology, oncology, inflammation, immunology, rheumatology, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary of $128,000-$190,000 CAD annually, based on experience and location. Additional benefits include a 401k match, short and long-term incentives, medical, dental, vision, STD/LTD, and life insurance, as well as health and wellness programs.
