We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Healthcare Records Coordinator at Sault Area Hospital.
Key Responsibilities- Manage patient records, including filing, photocopying, scanning, and quality assurance
- Process correspondence requests and reports using word processing software and computers
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers
- Assist with staffing and scheduling, and communicate concerns to the Manager as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Diploma in Office Administration or related experience in a healthcare environment
- Medical Terminology knowledge
- Basic knowledge of medico-legal aspects of chart completion
- Proficient knowledge of SAH policies, including patient confidentiality and privacy legislation
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office, including experience with spreadsheets, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio
- Knowledge of hospital software applications, such as Meditech Expanse EMR and Echart
