Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Healthcare Records Coordinator at Sault Area Hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage patient records, including filing, photocopying, scanning, and quality assurance
  • Process correspondence requests and reports using word processing software and computers
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers
  • Assist with staffing and scheduling, and communicate concerns to the Manager as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Diploma in Office Administration or related experience in a healthcare environment
  • Medical Terminology knowledge
  • Basic knowledge of medico-legal aspects of chart completion
  • Proficient knowledge of SAH policies, including patient confidentiality and privacy legislation
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office, including experience with spreadsheets, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio
  • Knowledge of hospital software applications, such as Meditech Expanse EMR and Echart
