About the Role
We're seeking a skilled Senior Software Developer to join our Sports Data team at Score Media and Gaming Inc.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our sports data-related experiences, including scores, schedules, leaders, and matchups.
As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our cross-functional team of iOS, Android, Elixir, and Ruby on Rails software engineers to deliver high-quality features to our popular sports app.
About the Work
- Design and develop internal web tools in Ruby on Rails, Phoenix, and LiveView to help employees visualize and debug our data and systems.
- Participate in the design, architecture, and delivery of new features in a collaborative agile/scrum environment.
- Deploy services and applications to Amazon EKS.
- Participate in our on-call rotation to ensure timely issue resolution.
- Mentor junior team members to help them level up their technical skills.
About You
- You have a solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, distributed systems, and software design.
- You're passionate about clean code architecture and software craftsmanship.
- You have experience with modern web framework and API development, as well as Git and GitHub.
- You're comfortable working in the terminal and have experience with Kubernetes.
- You're proficient in an editor of your choice and have experience with testing frameworks such as ExUnit, RSpec, Jest, or pytest.
