About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled 3D C++ Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engine team, you'll be responsible for implementing and maintaining new physics systems within Unreal Engine 5 and beyond.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain new physics systems, focusing on physically based characters with an eye for performance optimization and scalability.
  • Maintain the existing physics engine and integration into the Unreal Engine.
  • Stay up-to-date with current techniques, research, graphics data, and hardware.
  • Collaborate with content creators and engine team members to build the world's premier game physics engine technology.
Requirements
  • Strong C++ knowledge and excellent math skills.
  • Passion for physics and making physics work in the game world.
  • Demonstrated interest in games with 5+ years of professional experience.
  • Experience with the implementation of simulation or physics systems in a game engine, including core algorithms, performance optimization, behavior, etc.
  • Experience working with other game physics engines such as Havok, PhysX, Bullet, etc.
