Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Shoppers Drug Mart. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting our pharmacists with dispensing prescriptions, maintaining the pharmacy's operations, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet customers promptly, gather prescription information, and provide accurate and timely service.
  • Dispensing and Adjudication: Assist with dispensing prescription medications, third-party adjudication, and cashing out prescriptions and ancillary items.
  • Pharmacy Operations: Maintain and control the cash register, adhere to confidentiality and privacy requirements, and perform product checks.
  • Administration: Receive new and repeat prescription orders, prepare and submit orders, and manage incoming faxes and documentation.
  • Prescription Workflow: Assist with prescription preparation, data entry, and refill request processing.
Requirements
  • Education: Registered with the corresponding provincial licensing college and diploma from a Pharmacy Technician College.
  • Experience: Previous pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Skills: Effective organizational skills, ability to multitask, problem-solving skills, and strong attention to detail.
