About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Mark's as an Assistant Manager, where you will play a key role in leading our team to deliver exceptional customer service and drive business results.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high-performing team, providing coaching, feedback, and ongoing support to ensure the delivery of service model standards.
- Manage the B2B Mark's Commercial Business function, including order entry and management, and coach the team to ensure accurate and timely ordering and delivery to customers.
- Provide an exceptional omni-channel experience by offering in-store eCommerce sales and fulfilling eCommerce orders within defined service levels.
- Support the customer experience through timely processing and movement of inventory to the salesfloor.
Operations
- Implement, communicate, and ensure compliance with all operating procedures, processes, and policies.
- Manage scheduling and follow up of execution on shipping/receiving, eCommerce fulfillment operations, cash management, and operations systems & compliance.
- Assist in preparation and execution of annual inventories.
- Follow and ensure compliance of all corporate LP, cash and audit, and OH&S policies and procedures.
- Assume responsibility for all operations of the store in the absence of the Store Manager.
Training and Development
- Provide leadership and coaching to the team, ensuring the delivery of service model standards.
- Create and communicate the Daily Game Plan for operations activities.
- Communicate effectively with the team, leading Shift Starter meetings and coaching sessions.
- Follow up with the team to complete required training within timeframes.
Leadership and Culture
- Act as a brand ambassador, promoting brands and culture.
- Continually motivate the team and drive performance through recognition programs, store contests, and customer compliments.
- Maintain Mark's performance management expectations, including progressive discipline where necessary.
- Promote and maintain a positive and motivating work environment (safe, inclusive, and empowering).
Requirements
- Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop department and store teams.
- Proven ability to build and manage a daily and weekly plan for the department and store.
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
- Superior training and mentoring skills.
- 3-5 years retail experience required.
- High energy, enthusiasm, and a drive to succeed.
- Basic computer skills required.
