Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Welder - Fabrication and Repair Specialist to join our team at Highlight Motor Freight Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and repairing metal parts and products using various welding techniques and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret welding process specifications and operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment and fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal.
  • Determine weldability of materials and operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Start up, shut down, adjust, and monitor robotic welding production lines.

Requirements:

  • College/CEGEP education or equivalent experience.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in welding or a related field.
  • Ability to work in a commercial setting and handle heavy loads.
  • Attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
  • Standing for extended periods and repetitive tasks.
