Job Title: Veterinary Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Specialist to join our team at Blue Sky Animal Hospital + Englehart Animal Hospital. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our hospital.

Job Summary:

The Veterinary Specialist will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of medical conditions in animals, as well as providing preventative care and education to pet owners. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a passion for animal health and welfare.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and treat medical conditions in animals, including diseases, injuries, and other health issues
  • Provide preventative care and education to pet owners, including vaccinations, parasite control, and nutrition advice
  • Conduct physical examinations and take medical histories to determine the best course of treatment
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including medication, surgery, and other interventions
  • Collaborate with other veterinary professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Communicate effectively with pet owners to educate them on their pet's health and provide guidance on care and management
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advances in veterinary medicine and technology
Requirements:
  • Degree in veterinary medicine or a related field
  • Current licensure to practice veterinary medicine in the province or territory
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
