Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Nursing Assistant to join our team at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg. As a Nursing Assistant, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team under the supervision of the Manager Health Services or Nurse in Charge. Your primary responsibilities will include performing a variety of clerical tasks and acting as a communication link for the unit, as well as assisting with patient care and comfort and maintaining the cleanliness of the area.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Previous related work experience is preferred, but not required
  • You must have a complete high school education, Manitoba standards, and a successful completion of a Nursing Assistant program or equivalent
  • Medical terminology skills are required, with a 75% pass mark
  • Preferrably competent in an Indigenous language and/or knowledge in Indigenous customs, traditions, and values
