Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring that all dishes are presented to the highest standards.
  • Kitchen Management: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that they are clean and well-maintained, and that all equipment is in good working order.
  • Staff Training and Development: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties to the highest standards.
  • Inventory Management: Order supplies and equipment, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Supervision: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Cleanliness and Safety: Clean kitchen and work areas, and ensure that all food safety and hygiene procedures are followed.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant environment.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
