Job Summary

DSV is seeking a skilled Warehouse Management System Optimization Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing and delivering Warehouse Management System processes to DSV Solutions sites.

Key Responsibilities

Operations:

  1. Analyze and document client and business requirements
  2. Design, configure, test, and implement WMS processes
  3. Provide process optimization and improvement proposals based on business requirements
  4. Train key-users on designed processes and functionalities
  5. Create functional designs for internal and external reports and documents
  6. Keep track and where needed escalate for on-time delivery on deliverables requested from DSV Global IT
  7. Gatekeeper for warehouse process standardization
  8. Write and test functional specifications based on business requirements for applications changes and improvements

Customer Support:

  1. Provide regular scheduled project updates to internal and external stakeholders
  2. Analyze complex issues and client cases and provide sensible generic solutions
  3. Advocate and sell best practices and standardization to internal (and external) parties
  4. Builds and maintains relationships with internal and external stakeholders to understand and anticipate customer needs for specific projects

Primary Interactions

The primary exchange will be working with supervisors, managers, and clients

Required Competencies

Computer Skills

  1. Knowledge of WMS (Warehouse Management System)
  2. Proficient in MS Word (Outlook and Excel)
  3. Experience with functional specifications for EDI integration
  4. SQL proficiency

Communication Skills

  1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Minimum Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree Information Technology or related field

Minimum of 3 years' supply chain/IT experience in a third-party logistics provider with multiple clients

Work Environment

Domestic and International Travel is required for this role (up to 35%). This role will be based in an office environment
