Black & McDonald Limited is seeking a skilled and motivated Apprentice Plumber to join our Construction Division in Saskatoon, SK. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in the trade, working on a variety of projects and tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Under the direction of the site foreman, move and haul materials, pull water lines, and perform other tasks as required.
  • Thread pipe, install laundry boxes, and assist with other tasks, with increasing independence as you progress in your apprenticeship.
  • Participate in rotating 24/7 emergency on-call support.
Competency Requirements
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Continuously learn and develop new skills and knowledge.
  • Focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Solve problems and innovate in your work.
  • Value and respect others in the workplace.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Cross Connection Control Certification is considered an asset.
  • A-Gas Certification is considered an asset.
  • WHIMIS, SCOTT, R&R, Mobile Aerial Platform Training, Fall Protection Training, and Confined Space Training are considered assets.
  • Relevant industry experience is required.
Skills and Abilities
  • Clean Class 5 SK Driver's License and abstract.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Strength, stamina, and proper lifting techniques to handle heavy tools and parts.
  • Ability to visualize a finished product from a document.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform moderately heavy lifting and carrying.
  • Ability to work in high, awkward, and noisy places.
  • Ability to work alone or with others.
  • Strong communication skills.
