Physician Clinical Associate - Developmental Pediatrics
Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Clinical Associate to join our team at BC Children's Hospital/Sunny Hill Health Centre and the University of British Columbia. As a key member of our Division of Developmental Pediatrics, you will work closely with our Developmental Pediatrician and inter-disciplinary team to provide evidence-based medical services to children with developmental disorders.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide pediatric medical management for children admitted to the Acute Rehabilitation Unit at SHHC
- Work collaboratively with the Developmental Pediatrician and inter-disciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify children's needs and develop strategies for optimal care
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and coordination
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experiences
- Medical Degree and eligibility for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC (CPSBC)
- Experience in General Pediatrics is considered an asset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with children, families, and healthcare teams
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care
- Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, with a focus on staying current with best practices in pediatric care
