Masonry Restoration Specialist

Heritage Restoration Inc. is a renowned Canadian company specializing in heritage building restoration and general contractor services. We are seeking an experienced Masonry Restoration Specialist to join our team.

The successful candidate can expect a competitive compensation package, including a salary of $33.01 per hour.

This full-time position requires working 40-50 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with opportunities for overtime.

As a Masonry Restoration Specialist, you will be responsible for:

• Removing and replacing existing masonry work for alterations or restorations
• Restoring, repairing, or replacing masonry (brick, stone, or concrete), as well as carrying out general carpentry or painting and roof repair tasks
• Installing and using rappelling equipment, swing stages, high ladders, specialized scaffolding, and elevated work platforms around church spires, industrial chimneys, cooling towers, bell towers, clock towers, monuments, or any other high structures
• Inspecting and assessing building damage and performing repairs, including installing masonry coatings, waterproofing, brick and stone pointing, precast repairs and replacement, caulking, natural stone restoration, and cornice repairs
• Supervising apprentices and maintaining health and safety laws and upholding standards and quality outlined by Heritage Restoration
• Equipment and Machinery Experience: Industrial lift trucks and fork-lifts, power tools, hand tools

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Restoration Steeplejack
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in restoration masonry
• Excellent oral communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Physical stamina to perform physically demanding tasks
• Ability to distinguish between colors and attention to detail
• Familiarity with blueprints and ability to instruct apprentices
